Return to G.S. Butete

On 17th February 2026, Days for Girls conducted a menstrual health education session and distribution at G.S. Butete. During this visit, we successfully distributed 200 reusable menstrual kits to girls who had not previously received support.

School Administration Support

We had a very positive experience with the school administration. They generously gave us their time and full cooperation to ensure the smooth distribution of the sanitary kits. The administration expressed their gratitude and happiness that their students were supported.

They acknowledged that this support will:

  • Help prevent girls from missing school due to menstruation

  • Reduce the financial burden on the school related to emergency pad purchases

  • Improve students’ confidence and participation in class

Students’ Response

The students were highly attentive during the health training session. They showed interest in understanding menstrual health and how to properly use the kits They expressed deep appreciation, mentioning that the training and kits had “opened the door” for them to better understand their health and hygiene. Their focus and enthusiasm clearly demonstrated the impact of the program.
