Christmas Distribution

This post outlines the efforts of a remarkable young man, Kevin who organised an amazing distribution of not just Days for Girls kits but other items as well. Here is his explan

Throughout our Christmas distribution, we made dedicated efforts to reach communities in remote areas, ensuring that our outreach was inclusive and far-reaching in the Northern province. Our Christmas distribution project is a testament to the collaborative efforts and invaluable guidance we receive from our esteemed partners and local leaders. Their dedicated work and daily interactions within these communities serve as a guiding light for our initiatives. We deeply value and prioritize their insights, knowledge, and expertise.

21st of December - we extended our outreach in Kinigi by distributing clothing items to individuals while also providing 50 kilograms of rice specifically to single mothers, acknowledging their unique needs.

22nd of December - we focused on addressing period poverty and menstrual health education among girls in Senior Five preparing for their National Exams next year. At schools in Gitera and Kagitega, we distributed 204 sustainable menstrual health pads. We did this in partnership with DaysforGirls.

23rd of December - Our team in partnership with a lady who runs an organisation empowering Children without homes and vulnerable communities. We distributed 250 school bags (our famous Obama school bags) equipped with four books, along with 180 pairs of footwear to children between ages 2 to 12 in Butaro and Gashangiro. Additionally, we provided packages consisting of porridge flour, sugar, and milk to uplift and support 100 children at the Cancer Hospital in Butaro. It is important to note that in accordance with hospital policy and ethical considerations, no photographs of the children were taken during this visit.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shown unwavering commitment in supporting our fundraiser. Your generosity and dedication have been instrumental in making these initiatives possible. As the festive season unfolds, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas filled with warmth, love, and joy. May the upcoming New Year bring renewed hope and prosperity.
