The Days for Girls Musanze team have had a busy start to 2026. They have been reaching out to boys and girls in the rural district of Burera. On the 16th January the team visited G.S.Burera and distributed 265 washable menstrual care kits and delivered health training to 265 school girls and 56 school boys.
The staff at the school were very appreciative of the health training for their students and the kits. The teachers participated in all of the sessions.
The students showed great interest in the health training as they could now understand their menstrual cycle and keep track of it. Some students commented
“I will now be able to concentrate on my studies”
“Your presence is an answer to me. I was wondering how I was going to prepare for my periods. I didn’t have any money left.”
