Today the team visited G.S. Butete which is a large school with 1 021 girls requiring washable menstrual kits. Our goal is to provide each girl in the school with a kit and health training. Today we were able to reach 368 girls. The health training was also delivered to 265 boys. It is important for both the girls and the boys to understand that menstruation is a natural part of being a healthy woman. There is nothing to be ashamed of. The boys were very co operative and pleased to learn something new in the training. The staff at the school were very appreciative. They commented
“There was great joy in the room as the girls received their kits”
