The school administration were very happy to welcome the team back to G.S. Butete. Today the team reached a further 300 girls with washable menstrual kits and valuable health training. 56 boys also attended the health training. Menstruation is often a taboo subject and girls are often not given an opportunity to find out about their bodies. Today the students were very open and they asked many questions about their menstrual cycle. A quote from one student
“It was hard for some of us during the periods. We couldn’t get the pads to help us and used to miss classes. Days for Girls Pads are now the answer.”
