G.S KABARA KINIGI

This distribution was made possible due to the generosity of the Karan Group

On the 8th May 2026 five of our trainers travelled to G.S. Kabara school to distribute kits and provide health training. Both girls and boys received training.

We distributed 250 sanitary pads to young girls from vulnerable and low-income families. The girls were very happy and grateful to receive this support, as well as the menstrual health training provided during the session.

It was also a wonderful experience working with the school administration. Their commitment to supporting students was clearly visible through the care, guidance, and safe environment they provide. The students appeared comfortable, confident, and free to express themselves during the discussions.

Some of the typical questions raised were

  • What happens if someone skips periods for around three months?

  • What happens if someone has periods for only 3 days?

These type of questions are normally not discussed.

We also managed to train 100 boys through our program called “Men Who Know.” This program helps boys understand how their bodies work, respect girls and women, and gain knowledge about reproductive health, hygiene, and positive relationships. The session encouraged openness, learning, and mutual understanding among students.

We thank the School administration for being so much helpful during our distribution.
