The pads distribution took place on 10th October 2025 with generous support from Karan Petroleum Rwanda.
During the event, we successfully reached 166 girls, providing them with reusable sanitary kits to promote menstrual hygiene and dignity. In addition, 9 extra kits were left in the girls’ room to assist other students who may experience their periods for the first time or face unexpected emergencies.
We had visited the school earlier in the month. Due to to large number of students in need we had to return for a second round of training.
We also conducted a survey to assess how the pads are being used.
According to the girls’ hygiene helper, students are actively using the pads, and they have proven to be very helpful. The pads have significantly reduced financial challenges, as many students previously struggled to afford disposable pads. This support has greatly improved their comfort, confidence, and school attendance during their menstrual periods.
