G.S Umubano II - Rubavu District

We will be visiting the school twice this month. There are many girls to receive health training. Its not effective to do this in one very large distribution.

This distribution was made possible by Karan Group

We successfully distributed Smarter Kits and provided health training to 300 girls. “Men who know” was also provided to 72 boys.

• The activity was supported by five Health Trainers who ran 13 training session.

• The school administration was well-organized and very cooperative, which made the distribution process smooth and efficient.

• The Principal expressed great appreciation for the donation and promised that the school will continue to be good ambassadors of DFG.

• The girls were very thankful for receiving the pads, noting that they will greatly help them maintain better menstrual hygiene.

• The kits will also reduce embarrassment and improve comfort during menstruation, as the girls will no longer have to use pieces of cloth for cleaning.

• Additionally, the donation will ease the financial burden on parents, many of whom cannot afford to buy sanitary pads for their daughters

Overall it was an wonderful success!!
