G.S Umubano I - Rubavu

On the 22nd and 23rd of September 2025, we successfully distributed 560 reusable pads to girls at G.S UMUBANO I in Rubavu District. The distribution was accompanied by 8 health sessions conducted by 4 trained health facilitators. In addition to supporting girls, 70 boys also received training on health and hygiene, fostering inclusiveness and awareness.

The students expressed great joy and appreciation, noting that the pads will help them manage their hygiene and attend classes without interruption—no more missing lessons. They also emphasized that this support has eased financial burdens, as many previously struggled to afford pads. The school principal expressed deep gratitude, highlighting that all the sessions, especially the health training, made a lasting impact.
