G.S. Kabara, Musanze District

This distribution was made possible due to the support Karan Group.

On 26th May 2026, Days for Girls, with sponsorship from KARAN Petroleum, conducted a menstrual health education and kit distribution activity at G.S. Kabara School, located in Kinigi Sector, Kagano Cell, Musanze District.

During this event, we successfully distributed 200 Days for Girls kits to vulnerable girls at the school. The students were very excited and grateful to receive the kits, which will support them in managing their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.

In addition to the distribution, comprehensive health education sessions were conducted. The girls actively participated in discussions about puberty, body changes, menstrual health, personal hygiene, and self-protection. They openly shared their ideas and experiences, demonstrating a strong interest in learning more about their health and well-being.

Many of the participants expressed their commitment to making positive life choices and protecting themselves from situations that could expose them to harmful behaviors or exploitation. Their engagement and willingness to learn highlighted the importance of providing accurate health information to young people.

The school administration also expressed sincere appreciation for the support provided through this initiative. They noted that the reusable menstrual kits will greatly benefit their students by ensuring consistent access to menstrual products while reducing the financial burden on families and the school. Previously, many girls relied on disposable sanitary pads purchased from local shops, which created ongoing costs for both students and caregivers.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to KARAN Petroleum for making this impactful initiative possible and for supporting girls' education, health, and dignity in the Musanze community.
